Description of Action |
|
The Administration has reviewed, adjusted and supports the annual residential solid waste rate adjustment provided in the City’s residential solid waste service agreement with Waste Management. The Preliminary annual residential assessment rate is recommended to be established at $277.92 yr., reflecting allowable annual cost adjustments for collection, fuel, disposal and recycling. Establishes that notice of this Preliminary rate will be provided to property owners using the County’s TRIM notice and calls for a Final Public Hearing on the assessment rate to be held at City Hall on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. |

Fiscal Impact/Cost Summary |
|
Provides funding for costs of City’s annual residential solid waste disposal services. Gross collections are forecast at $2,009,361 resulting in an estimated annual revenue of $1,908,894 after an estimated provision of 5% that will ultimately be unrealizable and uncollected. |
